With the controversy surrounding the choice of Jamaica's 'JA 50' indepence celebrations song the government has now decided to put it to a public vote. Facing harsh criticisms for choosing international recording artiste Shaggy's "On a mission" song the officials have released a statement saying that all Jamaicans should have the opportunity to submit and select the songs, as they referred to the use of multiple 'Jamaica 50' songs instead of their original plans to simply have one such song.
