Mavado's US work permit in jeopardy?

Since Mavado had been found guilty on two assault charges in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrates Court speculation is high as to whether this will affect his ability to do shows and eventually settle in the USA. Despite vowing to appeal his conviction on the assault charges which he was convicted of in May, legal sources say he would have to apply for a waiver  now informing the US of his recent convictions which could make him ineligible to hold a US work permit.

The singjay, whose real name is David Brooks, was found guilty by Resident Magistrate Wilson Smith and fined $100,000 or six months. The damage to the vehicle in the incident was estimated to be $25,000. Under U.S. law all visa applicants are suppose to disclose any convictions that they have on their application forms, and in more serious cases, they must be appealed by authorities.
