Birmingham 'cheers' Jamaica

 An event being billed as a 'once-in-a-lifetime' will be staged at Birmingham's Symphony Hall on Wednesday July 25th. The concert is being hosted by the Association of Jamaican Nationals (Birmingham) UK in association with Birmingham City Council, the Jamaican High Commission and the Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA). The line-up includes Musical Youth, Jimmy James, Carlton Curtis, Skibu, the Horizon Youth Choir, the Aston Youth Academy and Veteran Count Prince Miller.

 

Top athletes including Usain Bolt, Asafa Powell and Veronica Campbell-Brown alongside other teammates are expected to join in the festivities. The day after the event Jamaica's track and field team will depart their pre-Olympic training camp for London. Tickets are available through the Symphony Hall box office on 0121 345 0600 or at www.thsh.co.uk.veronica
