Yoooo I can't take this hiring and firing of selectors in the sound system business.  Over the years too much good sounds have fell victim to not being able to hold on to their team members.  Winning clashes takes practice; therefore without the necessary chemistry and practice being exerted some battles will not be victorious nevertheless that doesn't necessarily mean that the team doesn't have potential (man fi stick to dem squad, iyah).

So the latest news in the split team saga is Black Blunt and Avatar.  Rumor has it that after losing World Clash Avatar was put on a one month suspension because he did not follow the initial game plan that was set by his team.  Evidently, his management team saw this as the sole reason for the team's elimination from the World Clash competition.  Days after the announcement of the suspension was made a statement from Avatar followed saying that he was departing from the sound based on salary discrepancies.  Avatar statement was followed by a statement from the mother of the owner of Black Blunt in which she stated that Avatar was being paid but had issues with squandering his money.  So there it is...one more good sound rises just to be plagued by internal issues.

Following the announcement that Avatar departs from Black Blunt came another surprising rumor.  It has been brought to my attention that Ricky Trooper have publicly stated that Avatar will be furthering his career on Cosmic sound system, a new and promising sound system ailing from Brooklyn, New York.  If this is true, things could get interesting for both Cosmic and Avatar.  Please note that Ricky Trooper is a very close friend of Cosmic sound system and assist them with a lot of their dub plate recordings.  So as the Jamaican saying goes, 'if it not guh so, it near to it'.
