kingaddiesThis month, King Addies goes back into the clash arena. It would be their first clash after losing badly to LP.  The lineup is not what I expected for a comeback but I still have to commend them for keeping their clash vibe flowing!

What I will say though, this upcoming clash better be an easy victory for "The King Sound" because their opponents are sounds of a far less caliber (Young Hawk and King Klepto).  If Addies doesn't take this one clean, they will further upset their die hearted supporters and be thrown under the bus by clash fans.  This performance will call for the best Addies has to offer musically.  All the anthems played in the right order accompanied by the proper speech.  If this clash turns out to be a close matchup then regardless of Addies wining it won't be a good look!  Let me make it clear because these sounds are outweighed by the popularity and musical ammunition of King Addies they should not be able to pass first base.  The question is; can the current Addies squad pitch a no hitter?

The young team members on Addies have proven to be the heirs to the sound's throne. They show talent and promise in their performances. However, at the same time they have proven to be unprepared for the pressure, and they are tune confused; two negatives that can easily become the recipe for defeat.  The young crew is great!!! But they need to be trained on the battle field as opposed to simply rehearsing prior to the battle.  The problem is, the management team of King Addies maybe pushing these youngsters prematurely.  Too much pressure is being placed on them at an early stage of their career.  For example, Matterhorn played apprentice to Baby Face for years before being allowed to carry the torch.  Neil Diamond played Addies years before people started to recognize him as a member of the squad and Baby Face was taught by Danny Dread before he became a master at his craft.  All of the former Addies members I mentioned were trained on the battle field; meaning that they participated in sound clashes led by an Addies 'General'.  I asked who is leading the current squad during battle, where is their 'General'?

I say "bring in Kila Bo on this one".  He has sat out two major clashes already.  It's time for his return. Don't have one man continue to shoot the ball.  Play the court with a full team.  Yea the yute dem bad! But Kila bo bad too!  Bo needs to get a chance to regain the love of Addies fans.  He can't do that while on the bench.  Mix it up! Addies needs to create fear in the arena again. The young team is not ready for that yet! They need more experience which can only be gained from a leader....a 'General'.

One would argue that Kila Bo has not yet made a name on King Addies, so why should he be the coach?  He has not yet brought Addies to victory so how the hell can he teach the youth them how to win a clash?  And I would say such points are valid but another valid point would be, currently Kila Bo is the most experienced member of King Addies as it relates to the battle field.  Let's not forget he did get some training from Baby Face before Baby Face left the sound.  There must be something that he learnt that can be passed on to the youths.  Anyway it will all be revealed later this month as King Addies goes up against Young Hawk and King Klepto.  The venue is Albany Manor; Brooklyn, New York is the place; May 19th is the date.
