3PS1Today's international clash arena has seen the likes of far more than a few young sounds thirsty for fame! The truth is that, many of these sounds will fall by the way side as a result of the industry's pressure filled situation. Whether lack of talent and/or promotions, over priced dubplates, or just plain bias competitions, when the smoke clears only a few will stand the test of time.

With this being said, who do you think will endure the pressure? Remember the race is never won by the swift! A strong dub box does not guarantee fame or fortune. Having talent does not mean one will be discovered. It all comes down to dedication, hard work, and marketing! Something that very few sound systems seem to believe in. Sound business is a liability. A huge risk! In most cases more money is invested than earned! It's so easy to be #1 today and just a memory tomorrow. So again I ask which of the junior sounds do you feel can endure the long haul?

As of today, I personally don't see any young sound that I could swear for. None that I could say.. "That's the next sound to be entered into the industry's elite class of sound systems." It has been said time and time again that 'I', Chin fight the growth of young sounds. I admit this accusation to some extent is true because I REFUSE to promote young sounds that are FUCKIN LAZY! The ones that feel that dubs are the be all and end all the game. The ones that feel like the world owe them something because they have a dub box worth a couple thousand bucks!

I respect the sounds that put in the work, those that live by my 3P Laws (PRACTICE, PREPARE, and PROMOTE).

Practice - THE ONLY WAY TO ENSURE THE PROPER CHEMISTRY- Play the sound with each other, build a camaraderie and get familiar with each others sound system skills and habits. Practice speech, Practice selections, practice mixing, practice practicing!

Prepare – THE ONLY WAY TO ENSURE OPTIMAL OUTCOME AT ALL TIMES-Do your music research, go get your dubs and then organise your boxes. Create a signature system for cutting dubs and stick with it. It is great to have the 'everyday' /regular dub selections, but be sure that this is not all your box consists of. And lastly, make the artist link UNNU self. BEWARE THE MIDDLE MAN!! Additionally there is nothing better in dubplate voicing than building a personal relationship with the artistes with whom you are working.

Promotion - STOP DEPENDING ON PROMOTERS TO PROMOTE YOUR INVESTMENT- It is your job to make sure the world knows you exist. Having a deep dub box and NO fans is equal to you being useless and your sound non existent. Small sounds grow into big sounds as a result of the number of support they gain. You must invest in promoting yourself! Would you shop in an empty store? NO.....So why are you expecting promoters to shop with you? GO Promote!!!!!!!
