Those of you who are not in tuned with what is going on in Jamaica's music world, Sting is on Saturday, Dec 26. It is the talk of the island because all are anticipating what will happen between Kartel, Mavado, and Bounty Killa.
So, here is the scoop!! In November, the hype on the street was the re-match between Kartel and Mavado, but when the flyer came out it was built as a face off between Kartel and Bounty. What? Shortly after that an article came out in the paper stating that Kartel would like to clash both Bounty and Mavado on Sting at the same time. This of course would cost the promoters $100,000 USD. The promoters declined. Then the government of Jamaica stepped in and said this Gully and Gaza feud has to end before the New Year. So, Kartel and Mavado called it peace at a popular concert in Jamaica and shocked the whole world. But right before Kartel and Mavado could do so.. Bounty dissed Kartel while he shared the stage with Mavado. Hmmmm! As a result, Kartel refused to go on the stage with Mavado until Bounty exited the stage. Anyway, the peace thing went down very nicely.So, the Gully and Gaza thing is quiet for the moment, but an Alliance and Gaza feud has now arose. Bounty has announced that he will be clashing Kartel at Sting. According to the "Killa," there is no friendship between Kartel and Mavado. Rather, the peace thing just had to be done because things were getting out of hand! This is getting good!!!!!!
Now there are two different promotions headlining Sting: the Reunion of Kartel and Mavado featuring them both on a clash at the same time in unity and the clash between Bounty and Kartel. Oh! I forgot to state that Kartel has been dissing Bounty in the media and refusing to clash with him because he is a Dinosaur. Kartel says Bounty's era is over and he is not about to give Bounty a hype!
Think about the following:
1. Mavado is friends with Kartel and Kartel kills Bounty at Sting -- Will Bounty allow Mavado to still keep the peace with Kartel?
2. If Mavado decides to keep the peace with Kartel despite Bounty losing the clash -- What will happen to the friendship between Mavado and Bounty?
3. If Bounty wins the Clash it will give a huge hype to the Alliance/Gully squad -- Will Mavado still feel the need to be at peace with Kartel then
4. If Bounty kills Kartel, will Kartel then end his peace with Mavado and continue to dis the Alliance and Gully squad in his upcoming songs.
These are four questions that make it official that there is no peaceful way out of this one. Bloggers what do you think?
