Dancehall's latest embattled star, Busy Signal, was extradited yesterday to the United States to face trial for absconding bail in 2002. The deejay whose real name is Glendale Goshia Gordon, left the Jamaica before noon, accompanied by United States Marshals who had arrived in the island on Monday.
The mother of one of Gordon's children, Shantal Chin is holding out hope for her 3 year old daughter that all goes well. Many are still asking how the deejay could have managed to live such a public life for s many years even while being wanted in the USA, as he toured extensively including traveling to Canada, a country with whom the USA has strong partnership.
Less than a month ago Busy had waived his rights to an extradition hearing in Jamaica. He was arrested by members of the Fugitive Apprehension Team at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston as he disembarked a flight after being deported from the United Kingdom (UK).
