The veteran Champion sound Sliver Hawk was "ONE POINT" away from victory in a best of 15 'tune-fi-tune' round, before fate had it's course and the climate of the clash changed dramatically. Very quickly, Sliver Hawk's lead of 7 to 1 was over turned by a 8 to 7 victory in favor of King Life Star a young Japanese sound.
The outcome of this clash sparked huge conversations amoung clash fans. Everyone seems to now be questioning the depth of the current Sliver Hawk dub box. Does the Hawk still have all of their big tunes, or are they trying to trick the fans with a marketing ploy? Let me say this before going futher .. Sliver Hawk is NOT the first sound to lose a clash in this manner. However, they may be the first top league sound to be beaten by a new sound this way! So what happened?
Well, my sources say " Sliver Hawk ran out of tune." They fired big guns in the early rounds and could not finish the race. It was also reported that they played back tunes in the competition.. Woow! This doesn't seem real.. Sliver Hawk is loaded! It should be cake for Hawk to find that ONE big tune to lead them to victory, but instead they played seven songs which failed to please the crowd before losing.
If I had to take a bet on this situation, I would say that currently, Sliver Hawk's dub box is limited. But let's not count them out yet! There are rumours of a reunion between the sounds current selector and a former selector. I have been told that this other selector still has rare and powerful Sliver Hawk ammo in his possession. We all just have to wait and see!!
