June just got hotter, as one of the "Queen Bees" of Jamaican theater Andrea "Delcita" Wright is ready to command the stage in encore performances of the smash play "The Politicians" in East Orange, New Jersey on Saturday, June 23 (Campus High School) and Bronx, New York on Sunday, June 24 (Evander Childs High School). Delcita brought the house down before sold out audiences Memorial Day weekend and she promises that her stints in New Jersey and Bronx will be even more explosive than before.

New Jersey patrons are in for a special treat, as it's been over 1 1/2 years since they have wallowed in laughter from Delcita. Not to mention, it's the first time New Jersey theatergoers will get to soak in the combustible humor of both Delcita and Shebada in one giant production. Add these theater hot shots to the skilled humor of child star Christopher "Johnny" Daley, the divine talent of Michael "Stringbeans" Nicholson, Abigail "Babalita" Grant and more! New Jersey has become a very strong market for Jamaican theater as witnessed in massive turn outs and overwhelming support of the genre. Moreover, the "Garden State's" theatergoers have taken a special liking to the quick and direct punch lines of Delcita. In the short period of time that Irish and Chin has exposed the Tri-State area to the Delcita character in various productions, her stock skyrocketed -- allowing her to be a major hit in the Northeastern U.S.

In fall 2011, Bronx fans were teased with the presence of Delcita and Shebada during "2 for 1" theater. The sold-out stagings of two plays featuring Delcita and Shebada separately, along with powerhouse casts, ignited an unwavering interest of Bronx theatergoers for more. Now, their wishes have been answered as Delcita and Shebada will light up the borough in "The Politicians" with infinite raw funniness later this month. In case residents of Brooklyn and Queens missed the Memorial Day show, Irish and Chin is extending their toll reimbursement benefit, allowing travelers to get reimbursed up to $13.00 for tolls with a receipt.

There are many elements of the Delcita character that make her a hit among fans. Not only is Delcita loud and wise, actress Andrea Wright says "The believability of the character and her sense of naivete contribute to Delcita's appeal, furthermore, Delcita's ability to navigate her way through any conversation is also a plus." Audience members avidly follow Delcita during her dialogue with cast members, crediting her for her piercing delivery, punch lines and words of advice. Wright adds "Although Delcita comes from country, she is miraculously able to reign supreme in her dialogue."
